About The Orphan's Tales
The Orphan's Tales is a two-volume series of fantasy novels authored by Catherynne M. Valente and illustrated by Michael Kaluta. Heavily steeped in mythology and fairy tale, it is told through an extensive network of interrelated frame stories. The series as a whole received the 2008 Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature. Singer-songwriter S.J. Tucker recorded two albums based on the series.
